Eye examinations are primarily performed by an optometrist or an ophthalmologist. Our doctors are Doctor In Optometry. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner, a nurse or an optician. Vision screening could help identify vision issues, but it could miss important medical eye problem. Your pupillary distance (PD) is one of the several measurements that will be taken by a Licensed Optician as part of the glasses fitting process only.
