Contact Lenses or simply contacts, are thin lenses placed directly on the surface of the eyes, the cornea. Contact lenses are ocular device can be worn to correct vision such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism and presbyopia or for cosmetic or therapeutic reasons. Contact lenses can only be sold under a valid prescription and a fitting test to ensure a proper fit. Our Certified Optician Contact Lens Fitter will fit you with the right contact lens and answer any of your questions. The optometrists at Heritage Sight Optical don’t fit contract lenses. Wearing contact lenses requires an easy, but daily, regimen that follows a high standard of hygiene. At Heritage Sight Optical we reserve the right to a minimum age of 16 (with parents’ consent) to fit contact lenses.
If you’re a new patient at Heritage Sight Optical a fitting exam is mandatory (Manitoba Regulation’s).
The cost of the fitting exam is $35.00, fitting and training $50.00 and includes disposable contact lenses trial and solution sample.
